Edmond, OK asked in Divorce for Oklahoma

Q: I cheated on my husband (2 years ago, he has known about for over a year), he is telling me that if he divorces me

That I am not entitled to half but something like 25% of the assets. Everything we own is communal property (house, cars, boat and camper), we have two minor children and we live in OK.

A: You should contact an attorney to assist you in getting what is rightfully yours and what is fair and equitable. Your indiscretion alone is not sufficient to change the fair and equitable distribution. Unless there is more to the case then you need an attorney to help you get that fair treatment. A: You should get an attorney and get ahead of this, so he does not move money or attempt to play games. His claim is not accurate and that makes me concerned for his intentions around your marital assets.
