Frankfort, KY asked in Child Support for Kentucky

Q: I have joint custody and havent seen my son in 1 year and he has moved out of his grandparehouse without my knowledge

I got custody when he was 10 because his mother decided no to tell me. Her exhusbands parents had custody because of neglect and when i found out about him i asked for paternity because its my responsibility and his mom wasn't likley to give him opportunity seeing how she was in jail when she told me he was probably mine. Ive got split custody with them and with his best interest i didnt file for full custody and move him out of the stabilty he had. But ive never been treated like more than a paycheck with going over a year several times without seeing him. Im supposed to get everyother weekend, holidays ,and summers and never been able to claim him on my taexs. He turned 18 last month and is in highschool still attending college classes. What can i do about this and can i get the child support dropped and maybe recover something for heartache? I feel terribly wronged and cheated.

A: File a motion in your divorce or paternity case to address all these issues.
