A: It does not matter where you got married. You can hire a licensed immigration attorney in ANY U.S. State. The cost will depend on what your immigration needs are. Most attorneys will be able to give you an estimate, some charge fixed fees and others (like me) even disclose their fees on their websites. Best thing to do is to check out the attorney's website, their profile on websites such as Justia and their client reviews on websites such as www.Avvo.com. Best wishes!

A: Pursuant to federal law, an immigration lawyer licensed in any state, can represent a client in any other state, and all over the world for that matter. The best approach would be to pick up the phone and call various lawyers to get the fees that you are comfortable with. Some of us charge a very affordable flat fee to Handle the case, from start to finish. The best of luck to you.

A: I agree with my colleagues. Check out some immigration attorneys and schedule a consultation - virtual or in person.
