Q: I live across a high school baseball field. If I or my family gets hit by a foul ball can I sue the school?

I live in California. Foul balls land on my driveway, patio, at times hit my house.

A: Did you notify the school and ask them to put of a fence? Generally, you have a technical trespass claim, and that would cover any injuries. If its a problem for the neighborhood maybe send a joint letter to the school board and copy your city council representative.
