Jefferson, GA asked in Divorce for Georgia

Q: I am separated from my husband and is seeking a divorce. We have a son. Do I have to give him my new address?

He says it's illegal for him to not have my new address so he can see his son. I'm not denying him his son, only my new address. Am I wrong?

A: Considering the son is staying with you and you and your husband both have equal custody rights at this point, you do need to give him your address. He needs to know where his son is living.

A: You will need to advise him of the new address. As you deserve to know where your children are when they are with him, he has the same rights.
