Q: Was given a summon for this statute; any way to not show up to court just to plea guilty and pay fine?

Pulled over in small street near house due to child out of baby seat, given summon require to show up in person

A: If the ticket is marked mandatory court appearance you need to appear in court. Many towns make this ticket a mandatory court appearance which is not generally by zoom court. Call the court to confirm if yours is mandatory court appearance or look it up online.

A: The municipal courts are now operating on zoom. You should plead not guilty and the Court will schedule you to have an opportunity to speak to the prosecutor. You do not have to appear in person in court as all court proceedings are remote. I would recommend given the nature of the violation that you consult with an attorney so you can achieve the best result.
