Newark, NJ asked in Traffic Tickets for New Jersey

Q: Order for a NJ cop to issue a ticket for driving while suspended, isnt this infraction based on a person operating vehic

Van was parked like 8 houses down my block directly on a main road passaic street, across from my street. There is terrible parking in area.

That said, my van is legal, and was legally parked. I had an outstanding ticket for street sweeper, i tried to pay on line and it wouldn't go through, Boro hall has been closed due to covid and i figured that was the issue and im sure to hear from the court by mail second notice, no 2,3,4 final or suspension ever came, nor letters from Trenton.

Cops we're out sweeping the streets and towing vehicles, and left me a ticket driving on suspension after a conviction.

There was no probable cause or an infraction of the law to run my plates, i was not driving.

A: Your best defense is probably that they cannot prove that you drove the car. With this type of ticket, I always suggest hiring a lawyer as the penalties based on your record could even include jail time.
