Austin, TX asked in Family Law and Child Custody for Louisiana

Q: My 15 year old lied to CPS so she could go live with her mom and her 19 year old boyfriend. The case was dropped

CPS dropped the case bc my daughter lied. She’s lived with me and my wife for 11 years bc her bio mom is on drugs and in and out of jail. She’s been with her bio mom for 3 weeks and they have blocked me from contacting her. How can I get her back home? Will a judge allow her to stay with her mom even though she’s not stable, is living in an RV with a random guy and has no way to provide for my daughter the way that I can and have been doing?? Is there a way CPS and juvenile police can help bring her home before having to go to court? I’m worried about her being there and not speaking to her and having to wait on a court date. I need her home and safe now. She also has a newborn baby with her

A: You're going to have to break down and hire a private investigator and then a custody lawyer
