A: Hire a competent attorney to search the title. He can then tell you what happened and whether you can file suit for whatever interest you might have.

Apparently you believe you were deeded an interest in the land which deed needs to be examined. Have you been paying taxes? If not, you might have lost the title that way.

A: Unfortunately, no matter how long you've stayed on a property, without more, it isn't yours.

You need to take all your facts to a lawyer for review, and the most important one is any deed in your name. If you had title, and your sister forged a deed, or deeded the property to someone else without your signature, you may have a claim against her. If she's done that, the next move will be an eviction, so don't wait to contact a lawyer.
