Detroit, MI asked in Family Law for Michigan

Q: I help with a pro Bono lawyer in Wayne cnty for family court, he has violated every order, he has “terminated” my rights

I do not know how to fill out the forms I need assistance but. I need a motion filed. Someone from a legal aid has. Been basically stringing me. Along (an me entrusting I was going to get the help) since November 2020, they have “been filing that motion” since November. I have only seen my daughter 7 times since august 2020, he has alllowed her to travel to the upper peninsula for 7 days with other ppl. He has changed her pediatrician, I can not get any information, because I was homeless at one. Point, visitation was reasonable and supervised by him. Out. Of. My 7 visits he only “supervised” three of them. He is abusing what the real reason someone may need to be supervised, due to the reasoning of why I had to give custody to him, I became homeless, also the fact he asked for me to be. Supervised and he has a dv with me being the victim in 2019, is crazy. He knows I can not afford a. Lawyer he has “terminated” my rights, told me she has a mom, changed doctors etc..

A: You will either need to connect with your legal aid attorney to figure out what's going on or go to the courthouse's legal assistance center for assistance on how to fill out the forms yourself. Other than legal aid, you will be hard pressed to find an attorney willing to take on a family law case pro bono, but help is available.
