A: It sounds like the person you care for has either been civilly committed or the court has appointed a Guardian or Conservator for her. If she has been civilly committed then the state of Oregon will be responsible for determining where she lives and coordinating her care. If she has a guardian then that person will be responsible for determining where she lives and coordinating her care. If she has only a conservator that person will be responsible for controlling her finances but she will still be the person determining her own living situation and care. I recommend you find out who is in charge and speak with them about whether you will still be employed caring for this person.
