Bronx, NY asked in Social Security

Q: I have a question about stimulus payments with people on SSDI.

Hi there.

This is a long shot seeing this site is about legal issues but can't seem to find help anywhere else and trying to contact the IRS seems impossible.

I'm on SSDI and haven't received my third stimulus payment yet.

I was married and filing a joint return up until the 2020 tax season.

We divorced. I do not file a tax return because I make under the amount to file.

We share a child together also.

He received his third stimulus but I did not because he filed separately.

I know I'm eligible for the payment.

I just can't find any information on it.

Both mine and my childs benefits are direct deposited into my bank account every month for the last few years.

I heard as long as you have your benefits deposited into your account every month then the stimulus will automatically be sent to my account.

I'm just looking for advice.
