Q: Can a Landlord in NJ not renew my lease if we have a conversation and they say I'm being definsive.

My landlord said they will not renew my lease,after sending me one notice to Cease,In regards to my son smoking weed in the hallway,They then called me to the office to speak with me about another incident reported to them by the maintenance man, I stated that it was not true,so upon me responding they said they did not like my response or my tone and stated I'm being definsive,I was not I was just stating facts to them in regards to the 4unit dewelling where we live and the problems we have had over the years with people coming in our hallway smoking marijuana has always been an issue along with a lot of other problems in the area where we live, including excessive boys sitting in the back of the unit,in the laundry room or where ever they want to smoking marijuana,the downstairs door is always open and they have access at all times,the office is always asking questions about neighbors and making assumptions about resident without know whether or not it is true,they just take someone'
