Q: How does it work?
If my landlord files an eviction because I didn’t leave upon the end of my lease, if I move out before the eviction process is done, what happens? Will the court continue the eviction ruling and evict me or add it on my credit report ?
A: The court and landlord could proceed with the eviction to legally terminate your tenancy. The landlord could make an adverse entry on your credit record, but the court does not do that. Try to work it out with landlord to avoid that and to get the eviction dismissed, although it will still show up as a permanent court record.
