Q: What consequences am i looking at when i go to court on a charge b-1805 shoplifting?

A: So it's actually 13-1805, which is the Arizona statute for shoplifting (my guess is that the charges on the complaint were handwritten and the officer's "13" looks like a "B"). As a result, I'm assuming this is misdemeanor shoplifting in which case the maximum penalty would be 3 years probation, 6 months jail, and $2500 fine + surcharge in addition to any restitution.

On a first offense, the State normally is willing to offer diversion or a fine without any jail. If you have priors, the State often seeks jail. You really should consult a lawyer. If the State is seeking jail, you will have a lawyer appointed to represent you if you cannot afford one.
