Q: My friend left his dog with a co-worker and they took the dog to the shelter instead
the shelter says to return the dog to my friend they have to travel back from the state they moved to and pay the fee for the spaying, vaccinating, flea treatment, and microchipping. Which sounds reasonable if my friend hadn't just moved to a different state and trusted the co-worker to take care of the dog. Now he has no way to get the dog even though he has the dogs tags and vet papers. The dog has been put up for adoption and he's too far away to get to the shelter in time.
