Q: My girlfriend is currently facing a murder charge as well as possession of a firearm by a felon.

#1-In a murder case can circumstantial evidence be enough to get a conviction at trial?

#2-Can a person charged with possession of handgun by a convicted felon get a conviction by trial if the police never found the person charged with a handgun?

#3-Can a conviction be given to person charged with murder when all the witnesses say they never saw the person charged with a handgun?and never saw the person charged shoot the victim?

#4-Should a person charged with murder and arrested within 24hours be dusted for gun powder?

#5- Can a convicted felons statement be admissible at trial?

#6-What is the likelihood of a conviction of murder by trial if there were no shell casings and no firearm found at all?

4. Only if they had shot a gun within the last few house. They could be tested for gunshot residue.

6. Less likely but still possible, Murder cases tend to have tons of evidence - pictures, body cam, bullets, witnesses etc.
