Q: My ex came in where we are both on the lease with his new girlfriend and stole my dog and went give it back

He has been gone with this girl for three weeks he came to two weeks of him being gone ...he took the only key so I could lock my door I started to record audio in case some one broke in ...well they came in for four hours took what ever they wanted went to work the next day and when I came home I was served papers for a court date where he has lied ...then he told my landlord he was coming to get washer dryer and tools and he would be 100 moved out well they also took my dog .. yes tried the police ...how do I get her back . ...I have vet papers with my name only he never has done any thing for this dog and I feel like he is doing this just to hurt me

A: You have to appear or otherwise respond to the lawsuit, counterclaim against him for wrongful taking of your dog (replevin).
