Until you're able to speak with an Alabama attorney for meaningful guidance, an accidental dent does not usually amount to being a crime in most places. Unless an accident involved intoxication, recklessness, or something creating criminal culpability, car accidents are usually treated as civil (non-criminal) matters virtually everywhere. In terms of pressing charges, that's something a district attorney generally does, and it's hard to imagine a district attorney treating an accidental dent in car as a criminal matter, unless there are details missing here.
