Q: Can I prove to court I’ve been paying my ex directly for child support so I won’t have to make retroactive payment?
I calculated monthly support payments online with Florida child support calculator and would like to pay her that amount until the court case is final.
A: Yes, but no cash as there is no paper trail and clearly put child support in memo line.
A: You can always ask the court to give you credit for money paid. The only propel is proving it. Never never give cash. Your check or money order is good if you keep copies for the court.
