A: An Arkansas attorney should advise here, but your post remains open for two weeks. At the very least, if you haven't already, you could consider a consult with a traffic ticket defense attorney.

There's a lot to sort out here - What was the citation for? Are there plausible defenses for you? Was the other party injured (it appears not, from both of you going your own ways afterwards)?, Is there a possibility the other side could decide to sue in the future?

The answers (or speculations) to these questions could help you figure out the best course of action - whether it's a situation of a minor traffic violation, or something on which more important stakes hinge (depending on damages or injuries). And an Arkansas attorney experienced with traffic violations and accidents could give more meaningful guidance than just a brief general answer in the format of this Q & A Board. Good luck
