Grapevine, TX asked in Personal Injury and Landlord - Tenant for Louisiana

Q: Ins inspectors entered my apt,I was in the shower, door open, clear I was home; they did an inspection;who's responsible?

My damages are severe because I have had to see my psychiatrist to increase my meds and relive trauma with my therapist. I now feel they are retaliating because they stated they were doing a 2nd inspection and took pictures of my apartment. Brought 2 people so I could not possibly monitor both of them. My anxiety is through the roof and I have missed work due to this and all this is affecting my ability to function on a healthy level. I am having gastrointestinal issues, heart racing and nervous about leaving my apartment everyday among other things. I feel they are looking for anything to try to put me out just because I asked for the names of the men who entered my apartment and the name of the insurance company. I have asked 4 times now. If I have to represent myself in court I will. I feel sick everyday behind this which happened 9/13/21. All these apartments literally needing to be fully gutted and they're in my apartment with only water stains inspected by a bookkeeper.

A: A Louisiana attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. I'm sorry for your ordeal. You could reach out to local firms to see if they would offer a free initial consult. Despite the distress this caused for you, you'd want to know if it's something that a law firm would handle on a contingency basis. This could be a more complex and difficult type of setting than a clear-cut physical injury case involving a car accident or fall. Good luck
