Q: If I don’t get the vax will I be fired or laid off?
I’m a security officer, so I get assigned to posts depending on availability and needs of the post. By definition being fired is a change/failure in the employee resulting in termination. A layoff is a change within the company including company standards. So would I be entitled to a severance package or unemployment benefits as such? If no posts are available for me to be employed at wouldn’t that constitute a layoff or furlough?
