Q: I need some regulations for "insurance from liability of the owner of the boat for damage caused to third persons"

I'm from Croatia and i'm a law student.

I have to write a research comparing regulations (on "insurance of liability of the owner of the boat for the damage caused to third persons") of other coutries with croatian regulations. If you could give me some links for that kind of regulations i would appreciate that. Judicial practice of this matter will also serve good for me.

Thank you and i hope to receive your answer soon.

A: If you're asking in the sense of basic INSURANCE COVERAGE for the liability of vessel owners, that would essentially be general insurance regulations. They can differ by region or nation. If you're asking about the concept of PROTECTING or LIMITING the exposure of a vessel owner following a collision, fire, grounding, or other casualty, that is a maritime law concept known as limitation of liability. If you look up "limitation of liability - maritime law," you should hopefully find material to research further for your assignment. If that is not what your instructor means, seek clarification from them before embarking on lengthy research. Good luck
