Miami, FL asked in Family Law for Florida

Q: My question is about a holiday schedule, and my plan is not clear to me. In 4 places my plan says holidays supersede

Holiday is from school last day to last night before school (ex says the day before school is his professional day weekend. I say no holiday supersede this. Last school is dec 22school starts back Jan 11th, the Monday before no school, 10th. We count by overnights. Ex is threatening me with , if I don’t pick up Thursday the 30th I will not get child till Jan 1st. Excusing me if maybe calling the cops and is ready? We switch on midpoint. If it’s uneven it says 9.5 days and child is returning on the day after midpoint on the 10th day at 2 pm not 6 pm. Ex is saying midpoint is the following day, not the 10th day? He is saying 9.5 , the .5 is a day and pick up the next day. The example shows the same day on the .5 day but at 2pm not 6 pm. I don’t see my new attorney till the 5th if Jan. The child is now expecting me due to the father saying this and I can’t disappoint him. The father wants him back on Friday for the 4 day weekend, which is superseded by holiday. Don’t know what to do?

A: I believe both of you are overthinking this. But in any event, calling the cops won't work; they will have less patience than I have had trying to understand what you are asking. I can only suggest that you try to work with your ex and come up with a reasonable solution, even if that solution doesn't follow your interpretation exactly.
