Q: Because the homeowner would not admit to illegal items being his, I was arrested to, can I fight this?
The homeowner was being arrested on a warrant and the officers found drugs in his locked room and he said he didn't know whose they were so since nobody took claim we were all arrested and charged for the same charges. I was not under arrest until the home owner denied the items were his. I now have an indictment warrant and I am afraid that if I turn myself in my bond will be higher and I won't be able to post it. I was told by my arresting officer to find a lawyer and stay away from these people. Is there a chance that I will not be charged for this crime? I had nothing to do with anything, just needed a place to lay my head for a few days and now I get this.
