Q: If a 40 year old man steals money and is living under the roof of his parents can I sue his parents for the money

A: You're assuming that somehow adults are still responsible for the acts of their grown child? That would be akin to the Goldmans suing O.J.'s parents for wrongful death....However, if the parents helped facilitate the crime in some way...that's a different story.
