A: An Oklahoma attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. I'm sorry this happened to you. Based on the brief description, one possibility is that the settlement you say you signed (which was probably a release form) contained figures for a gross settlement, not reflecting attorney fees, court costs, or medical liens.

Another possibility is that there was a disconnect in communication. In general, it's difficult to go back against the terms of a release. If there was a misunderstanding, it could make a difference if it arose from innocent mistake, poor communication, deceit, bad faith, duress, coercion, etc. You could consult with an Oklahoma attorney to ask their opinion based on a more complete discussion. Good luck
