Asked in Car Accidents for Kentucky

Q: How long is the statue of limitations regarding automotive insurance accidents ??

I was in a accident 3 weeks, but I haven't been to the Dr yet. Can I still bring suit against the insured policy holder?

A: Yes in KY the statute of limitations for personal injury stemming from an auto accident is 2 years from the date of the accident or the last pip payment. Pip stands for kentucky’s No fault personal injury protection. The pip is what pays your medical bills up to a specified amount. The best thing you can do is to speak with a competent attorney. If you are injured seek treatment and express to your doctor the cause of your injuries.
