Atlanta, GA asked in Traffic Tickets for Kentucky

Q: Ticket for doing “15 over the speed limit”

Officer claims we were doing 70 in a 45. When in actuality it’s only 45 when there’s construction, which there was none that day as it was raining making the limit 55. We sped to maybe 60 and only to pass someone going 25. Once we passed, A semi started merging and it looked as if they were about to hit us. We sped to get out of their way, but again, i’m no way were we at 70-75 (as he claims). The semi that almost hit us was in fact going that speed however. We were then pulled over in a very unsafe part of the road. Can we fight this in court? It seems he scanned the Semi that was for sure going at the very least the speed we were cited for. Do we have a chance?

A: It would be much more prudent to hire an attorney and resolve it than to litigate it.
