Asked in Divorce and Family Law for Kentucky

Q: Set for trial

I got a letter today stating my husband’s lawyer has a motion set for trial for my divorce in about 2 weeks. I’ve been having to take my time because I can’t afford a lawyer or find one who will accept some kind of payment plan so I’m assuming because there’s been no movement on my end that’s why he’s wanting to go ahead and push forward. Is this a “normal” step? Will I still get time to get representation? He’s been keeping funds from me, not helping with anything, I don’t even have a car and he’s been spending outrageous amounts of money on concerts, 4 wheelers, a new vehicle. Leaving me with not even enough to scrape by.
