A: If you are in need of emergency, i.e. life saving, medical treatment, an emergency room is required by law to treat you. It is not, however, required to treat you for chronic, non-life threatening medical conditions. Here's something I found online which you might find useful, https://www.acep.org/life-as-a-physician/ethics--legal/emtala/emtala-fact-sheet/ You might want to speak with a social worker or governmental agency and inquire about getting on Medicaid or Medicare.
