Atlanta, GA asked in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice for Georgia

Hello. My HMO was Kaiser Permanente. In December 2020, I developed nerve pains. The medical advice given to me by the neurologists at KP was wholly inadequate and in some cases absolutely incorrect. I had to educate myself on Neuropathy and through much trial and error came up with treatments for myself. Doctors and clinics all over the country are using advanced treatments for neuropathy but KP did not offer that to me. I paid for treatment $ 9248 from my 401K and I want to be reimbursed.

A: A Georgia attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for four weeks. At this point, you could reach out to attorneys to discuss. However, I don't think that this would be a case that many law firms would consider handling on a contingency basis. That could mean paying a law firm to review billing, review the policy and its coverage, research medical treatises, consult with experts, and conduct other activities - all on the clock. But that's only my individual opinion. If you reached out to Georgia law firms to discuss in greater detail, that could offer you the most reliable legal assessment of the matter. Good luck
