A: The best solution is to find a qualified criminal defense attorney. If you cannot afford one, the court will appoint one for you. If you can afford one, it would be helpful to hire a criminal defense attorney who has specific experience in domestic violence defense cases.

A: you need to make an appt and retain a criminal defense atty with experience in DV.

if you can't find /afford one, the court will appoint a public defender.

DO NOT TALK TO DA OR POLICE........IT CAN'T HELP YOU, AND IT IS NOT JUST WHAT YOU SAY BUT WHAT THEY THOUGHT THEY HEARD YOU SAY.

WHAT COURT IS IT? CAN YOU AFFORD A LAWYER?

LAWYERS WILL GENERALLY NOT GIVE ADVICE OVER THE PHONE. YOU SHOULD WRITE OUT A DETAILED SUMMARY OF ALL THE FACTS.
