Q: If someone confessed a serious crime to me, was violent &threatening towards me, what legal options do I have
A: I won't speak to your situation. But if a crime has been committed [against you], then you can report that. If you've been harassed, as that term is defined in CCP 527.6 & 527.9, then you can seek a civil harassment restraining order. The CH-100 form states it this way: "Harassment means violence or threats of violence against you, or a course of conduct that seriously alarmed or annoyed, or harassed you and caused you substantial emotional distress.
