Q: Once a traffic ticket is dismissed do to the officer not writing ticket right can the officer reissue the ticket

And how long after can they reissue a ticket that has been dismissed

A: If the charge was dismissed without prejudice, the ticket can be reissued. Depending upon the nature of the violation they would have either 6 months (minor misdemeanor) or 2 years (regular misdemeanor). Either way, plenty of time. Tickets get dismissed all the time and rarely have I seen one reissued. Do you have any reason to believe the officer is going to bother?
