Q: Why did workman's comp stop helping me if their doctor couldn't help me get better from my injury to go back to work

Why did workmans compensation company stop my checks there Dr stopped me from working because of my injury I am getting ssi disability checks now but I thought that of a workmans compensation Dr couldn't help your injury so you can go back to work but stopped you from going back to work shouldn't workmans compensation still needs to be sending me my workmans compensation checks because they couldn't help me get better from my injury that happened at work in 2004 threw 2008 that's when my workmans compensation checks stopped and they told me I had to go threw the state disability courts because our workmans compensation Dr stopped you from working because you were to my of a reliability to go back to your job because of your injury...

A: it sounds like you did not hire an attorney to represent you so you acted as your own lawyer in your case. That is never a good idea. Perhaps you dont understand that the insurance company #1 obligation is to the shareholders, not you! if you truly understood this you would have 1. hired a lawyer, 2. not treated with the company clinic doctors, but an independent doctor, and 3. would have all your questions answered by your attorney and not left wondering why all this happened this way.

if your on SSDI, you need to be evaluated for an SIBTF claim as well.

if you dont hire a lawyer, you lose a lot! its not too late to consult with an experienced work comp attorney and consultations are free. so you have no excuse to be or remain ignorant of your rights when access to the information is easy to obtain and free.
