Twentynine Palms, CA asked in Workers' Compensation for Texas

Q: How long after workmans comp submission can I sue if they gave me the run around. Say it approved but docs had nothing.

Got injured at work a few years ago and workmans said everything was approved I'd go to physical therapy/ pain management doc and they always said they hadn't received anything but yet had my name. The exception was the regular doctor that could only apologize say they had no idea what was going on they were getting paid so no clue on hold up. But would always resubmit request and would say he was getting paid so didn't know what the issue was. He couldn't even prescribe pain meds. I'd call the wormans case worker she'd say everything was approved but yet never received help. I am in constant pain everyday since. It hurts to the point I went to my regular doctor but had to wait and close the case before I could get help. But that was too expensive. I just want all the pain to go away.

A: You can’t sue.

But you can receive medical treatment for your work-related injury from any health care provider who accepts worker’s compensation cases.

Your health care provider will likely need your TWC case number for your workers compensation claim to bill the correct party.
