Q: Is there a way to get my employer to tell me what I was accused of, by a third party, to be terminated?

A: I note that you posted this question in the "Libel & Slander" section. That makes sense, because you could, possibly, engage in pre-litigation discovery to find the identity of the person who perhaps defamed you resulting in your termination. It's complicated; see an attorney.

A: The only possible way is to sue the employer and try to discover who bad-mouthed you that way.

A: Actually, I wouldn't plan on suing the employer. Employers generally can fire their employees if they want to; they don't need a reason. But if someone else defamed you, you might sue that person if, by taking the deposition of the former employer, you can learn the identity accuser, and what was said or written.
