Belleville, MI asked in Traffic Tickets for Michigan

Q: Police gave me a double parking ticket instead of over speeding after I told him I wasn’t over speeding.

Police car lights up approx 100 meters before me and followed me. Asked why he stopped me, didn’t answer & asked for drivers license. Told me after the reason I was over speeding. Told him I did not. He went back to his car & came back with a double parking ticket. He said when he saw the overspeeding on his radar I was the first on the group of cars. I told him I pay attention on my speed limit when driving. He told me to pay the ticket online & left. Was trying to think when he saw my car ahead on the group of cars was probably I was driving on the slowest side of the road, I was the last one on the group of cars & ended up the first on the next group of cars, that’s when he saw me I think.

Do I have a case if I dispute this?

A: What's the question? If you dispute the ticket, you can request a formal hearing and be heard. Arguing roadside with the police is of little value.
