A: A Minnesota attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week. It isn't clear what the matter is about, but keep in mind that if your claim involves a county or public agency, it's possible there could be notice of claim elements. Only a Minnesota attorney could advise you if there are, but nationwide, these could be in the order of days. These are additional filing requirements and they usually impose shorter deadlines than state-specific statutes of limitations (which still need to be satisfied as well). If you reached out to attorneys, if nothing else, you could learn the timeframes within which you must take action to preserve your legal rights. Good luck
