Somerset, KY asked in Traffic Tickets for Kentucky

Q: No Insurance, Expired Tags, and License to be in Possession.

I was pulled over today, due to having expired tags. My fiancé was the driver (while I was in the passenger seat) and my fiancè did not have their license on them. After the State Trooper asked for my proof of insurance, I was unable to provide that as I am not ensured (I did not notify the State Trooper of this).

Now, my fiancé is facing the following charges;

1. No Registration Plates

2. No Registration Receipt

3. Failure of Non-Owner Operator to Maintain Req Ins/Sec, 1st off

4. Failure to Produce Insurance Card

5. Licenses to be in Possession

What should I do and what is my fiancée facing? I read that he could possibly go to jail. I need some suggestions and support on this matter. I’m looking to get new tags/ensured today, in hopes that this will look better in court.

A: Get everything corrected, take all the proof of correction to the court, snd no one goes to jail. Small fine and court costs likrly.
