Q: My 2 dogs got picked up by local dog catcher.dog catcher gave one away and lied repeatedly. Isn t that violation of law

A nd rabies shot. Second dog was given away by dog catcher. When I first asked dog catcher what about the pup, she told me she knew nothing about her. I searched days in the woods and swamp for my dog. I called her back and she still claimed she knew nothing. After picking up other dog from dog pound and telling dog catcher I was going back to the woods, she told me my dog wasn't in the woods, that she gave her away but didn t know who she gave her too that the other town dog catcher told her too. Called him he knew nothing about either dog. She said she thought the people were from next town over had no idea who they were. So I drove all around that town all day looking for unknown person with my dog. After calling her back, I was told the kind of truck the person had and business name on truck. So I continued to search and wait for Monday to go to company. They told me name of person driving truck, gave me his number. Him and girlfriend denied having my dog dog catcher knew where my

A: Sorry about the loss of your dogs. You described an aberrant situation that is not typical of the local laws and codes relating to a New York State-authorized local animal control officer.

You offered no information about where this occurred and so made it impossible to look up your local e-code and local government offices and agents.

If you believe your dogs are stolen that is a matter for local police or NY State Police.
