La Vernia, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: How can I get arrested for a crime that I went to prison for and the case is disposed of? Is there anything I can do

I was recently arrested for tampering with evidence the problem is that my original offense date for that charge was 4/06/16. I was sentenced to TDCJ and state jail in 7/2017 I had other convictions so that’s why I had state jail and TDCJ when I was released 5/4/2020 I had 1 day parole which I did. I have my parole papers. Well I am so mad because my mom, daughter and me was on our way to my moms for Christmas and my mom got pulled over for speeding and I was arrested in Jack County for tampering with evidence the same one I did my time for my mom lives 3 hours from there and I was released on bond in a town that I know no one and my 72 year old mother had to drive back to get me the next day

A: You will need to retain a lawyer to review the case. There should of not been a open warrant if the case was concluded. Someone screwed up.
