Louisville, KY asked in Family Law and Juvenile Law for Kentucky

Q: My 12 yr old daughter is out of control at her mothers, but no issues at my residence and school. Best course of action?

My daughter has had several violent outbursts at her mothers residence (threatening self harm and/ or harm to others) as well as physical violence to her mom and mothers family. However she has none of these issues at my residence, school, or public settings. Her mother decided 3 months ago to discontinue medication and treatment/ counseling for my daughter in favor of a holistic approach. The latest incident at her mothers resulted in her being forcefully removed by two deputies and then released into my care. We have recently met with a CWD as well due to this incident. Her mother is now talking of signing an out of control order on my daughter. From a custody standpoint her mother has primary residential (physical) custody and then we have joint (50/50) legal & medical custody. Any time we (dad & stepmother) oppose her mothers will, feel several different forms of retribution. What is the best course of action?
