A: If they did this, then you may have a good legal malpractice case. Consult with an experienced expert in legal malpractice.

A: If a law firm loses a client's file and has no knowledge of what happened to their case, it can be a breach of their professional duty and may result in legal consequences. Lawyers are required to keep records of their clients' cases, and a failure to do so may be considered malpractice.

If you believe your law firm has mishandled your case, you should consult with a legal professional, such as a malpractice attorney, to determine if you have grounds for legal action. You may be able to file a complaint with the state bar association or pursue a lawsuit for malpractice.

It's important to note that the specifics of your situation will determine the best course of action, so it's recommended to seek legal advice from a qualified attorney.
