A: Someone considering filing an NCUC Form CE-1 may find an attorney through an online search, direct referral, or perhaps the North Carolina Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service.

Various types of attorneys handle government filings for business clients. Some such attorneys may identify as business law attorneys, regulatory affairs attorneys, or corporate law attorneys, to name a few. Others may identify by industry, such as trucking law attorneys, transportation law attorneys, or logistics law attorneys.

Whether or not an applicant is required to have an attorney file an NCUC Form CE-1 depends on the applicant's business structure (sole proprietorship, LLC, etc.).
