Minneapolis, MN asked in Criminal Law and Traffic Tickets for Minnesota

Q: On December 12 I was pulled over in Burnsville MN. The complaint is full of holes, and miss guided not truths.mm

I had for gotten bringing wheels at home so I stopped at a local business to get more. While I was in side an officer pulled into the lot. My wife says he about hit our car and then backed into a spot at the end of the building in a one row parking lot so like 5 spaces away from us. I came out got on the truck with my merchandise and receipt in my hand seat them up on the dash and left. He followed. I got to my customers about 4 blocks away where he pulled us over. And I was arrested for D.A.C.I.T.P.S... WHEN HE APROACHED THE VEHICLE THE ONLY THING HE ASKED WAS , what we were doing at the business. I produced the receipt and product he ten asked for ID. I know you haven't seen it but the complaint is full of lies starting with making eye contact with the both of us. I was in the store when he entered the lot. Next is an order for protection against the registered owner ,there is not. There's a lot more lies and bs

A: This question is confusing to say the least. You should reach out directly to criminal defense attorneys to discuss the matter and what legal or factual issues you might have in this case.

A: The question raises the issue of whether the police officer has a reasonable suspicion to justify the initial stop. If a judge agrees the police officer did not, then the charges would be dismissed. Lawyers are trained in law school to generally avoid contacting non-clients about representation, to avoid any appearance of solicitation. So you will likely have to make that first call to a lawyer yourself.
