Q: I have an attorney that would contact my victim to get in contact with me in jail to discuss my case while Epo was in pl

While an epo was in place asking what should I do

A: It seems like you are referring to an Order of protection. While it may seem odd, your lawyer is allowed to reach-out to the person who is the subject of the order of protection. You can NOT talk to or contact the person who is named as the "victiim" in your case. Your lawyer is allowed to contact them because of the 5th and 6th Amendments to the Constitution.

The "victim" is not obligated to talk to your lawyer, but it can sometimes help your case if they talk.
