Akron, OH asked in Landlord - Tenant for Ohio

Q: What is the first move to getting someone who never paid rent and refuses to leave .

I have a friend who needed a place to stay due to she became homeless. I told her no in the first place but she showed up anyway . I felt bad and told her she could stay just a couple of days she said 4 . I said ok as long as she stuck to some simple rules. She agreed on it and promised all these promises that she never kept. Like keeping living room clean and ect. Well 8 months later I have paid her way with everything down to a pack of cigarettes . A pack every single day everyday for 8 months. I have asked her to please leave over 100. Times and she refuses. Our friendship is pretty much over and we have taught everyday for months. She has hit me in the mouth even to where I just walked up to my room and cried. I feel defeated. She has a amha voucher that she isn't even trying to to use. But she gets a free ride here. She's a devious very mean loud person who bully's her way threw life. I guess my question is what should my first move be to getting her out of my house .

A: If she's physically attacked you, call the police and have her removed and get a restraining order.

If that doesn't work, you will need to evict her and go through your municipality's eviction process.
